Pakistan: Open the frontier outpost for NATO convoys to Afghanistan


The transit of NATO convoy bound for the international forces in Afghanistan through Pakistani territory, which was discontinued in the last ten days for security reasons, resumed today with 14 trucks passing the northwest frontier outpost Torkam, Pakistani officials reported. The transfer of supplies to supply NATO forces in Afghanistan was discontinued after the armed attack on a convoy on 24 July, during which a driver was killed in Tzamrount location, near Peshawar, the largest in Northwest Pakistan. The 14 trucks carrying food, medicine and other essentials for the International Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF).
