After 13 years as a professional Federer won for the first time, in 2011 , the tournament in the French capital. A year later, and has remained at the top, the winner of 17 grand slams decided not to attend the event gala , which had already booked his hotel room and which could have become the first champion in historyWith its action and the absence of Spanish Rafael Nadal, injured , the big favorite for the title will be Novak Djokovic . After falling on Sunday in the final of "his" tournament Basel to Juan Martin Del Potro 6-4, 6-7 (5/7), 7-6 (7/3), Federer came to the capital now French, and next week begins in London on annual Masters in the top eight of the ATP

Shanghai,Tennis: Murray beats Federer

Andy Murray has qualified for the third consecutive year for the final Masters 1000 in Shanghai, clearly taking the best Saturday on the world No.1 Roger Federer in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, as was already the case in the final of the Olympic Games. The Columbia has not tasted defeat in Shanghai, where he won the last two years. He will find in the final Novak Djokovic, who had previously left no chance to Czech Tomas Berdych (6-3, 6-4). Murray will play his second final of the year (after Miami) Masters in 1000, the category of those tournaments coming immediately after the Grand Slam. In Florida, he bowed before Djokovic, who will be his sixth final of the year (two wins) in tournaments of this type. The fourth season matchup between Murray and Federer - the Scot was beaten by the Swiss in the final of Wimbledon , but was easily imposed Olympics - did not quite meet expectations.

Three double faults rank
Major difficulty in the service and return, author of 33 unforced errors, Federer was far from his best. This defeat is unwelcome to him, because it will allow Djokovic to take back extra points in the race to replace world No.1. "Breake" entry, the Swiss immediately replied. But a catastrophic service game 2-2, with three consecutive double faults - probably a first in his long career - cost him dearly. Murray, returns and defense still sharp, took the opportunity to take the service and pocketing the first set. Federer was again found in difficulty early in the second set, having to save seven break points on the first game. He came out with a bit of disinformation, claiming the roof closed due to rain. He has not succeeded, but was able to refocus and save putting in. A big waste in return, however, continued to help put pressure on Murray.Scottish and seized a new opportunity, still 2-2. Led 0-40, he lined up five straight points to make a difference. The interruption due to rain and closing the roof before the last game, came too late to save Switzerland. Earlier, Novak Djokovic took place as usual in the final of a Masters 1000, demolishing conscientiously Czech Tomas Berdych in straight sets 6-3, 6-4. He will play his sixth Masters 1000 final this season, as in 2011, the year in which he won five. This year, there are only two victories, Miami and Toronto. It will seek to win the 13th title of his career in a tournament of that class immediately below the Grand Slams. This success Berdych, he has now beaten ten times in eleven matches, earns valuable points to Djokovic in the race to replace world No.1, he plans to return to Federer by the end of year. Semi-finalist in both Shanghai unique appearances (2009, 2010), the World No.2 experienced no difficulty in crossing this time the final level. Relying on a first class service (75% of first serves) since the start of the week, he was untouchable in the first six games of the game, to the point of carrying 5-1. Berdych was then woken up to get a ball to redo his two breaks late. But the Serbian held firm. He then accelerated again early in the third set to take the opponent's service, with opportunism incredible three break materialized in three obtained in the game. Since early October, "Djoko" in full swing: winner in Beijing last Sunday, he just align a seventh straight game without losing a set.
