Three divers left without Internet to millions of users

The Egyptian coastguard arrested three divers when an important cut internet cableunder the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Alexandria, which has caused service outages in several nations, as published by the newspaper Al Ahram. The divers were arrested on Wednesday on board a fishing boat, beach front Shatby Alexandrian. The Egyptian Telecommunication Company (CET) has confirmed that a major maritime Internet cable was cut, which has influenced the performance of the network in Egypt and other countries. The CET is now seeking alternatives for the service to run smoothly until repaired the damaged cable, which could be ready by the third week of April . This is the third cable Internet shipping cut in the last five days in Egypt, says the newspaper said.

The FBI warns of 'sextorsion' sexual extortion via the Internet especially against young girls. Victims send alleged 'friends' photos that depict the nude or seminude and are then blackmailed by the threat to get the images to their families or boyfriends. '' It is a 'extortion' using sexual images that criminals are able to achieve through social media,'' said a special agent of the FBI in Boston.
