Addition is friendly, modest and professional." Messi also silenced the critics that did not contribute enough to the Argentina , scoring five goals in the same number of World Cup qualifying matches. He managed three goals in each of two games friendlies against Brazil and Switzerland. Cristiano Ronaldo scored 46 goals to guide Madrid to the title , and would have strengthened their case for the Ballon d'Or if Portugal had been crowned in the Euro, where viewers astro rivals constantly bothered by chanting the name of Messi. Meanwhile, Brazil's Neymar looks to win again the Puskas Award for best goal of the year . Consolation would then be left out of the finalists for the Golden Ball FIFA president Sepp Blatter acknowledged that it is difficult for players outside Europe to get the attention of voters. Neymar is nominated including three goals, for a spectacular play with Santos, which was dribbling rivals in March. The Colombian Radamel Falcao is also candidate for the acrobatic volleyed Atletico Madrid against America de Cali in May, and Miroslav Stoch, the Fenerbahce, was named after a long-range shot in a Turkish league match, played in March. Fans voted online, from 10 candidates nominated by FIFA. The U.S. team, which won the gold medal at the London Olympics, could dominate the awards for women's soccer , during the annual ceremony of FIFA.
