Afghanistan || President Ashraf Ghani has left Afghanistan

Abdullah Abdullah, chairman of Afghanistan's Supreme National Reconciliation Council, confirmed in a video statement released on social media that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has left the country. Abdullah added, "God will hold them accountable." A senior Afghan Defense Ministry official also confirmed the news to Reuters.

The Taliban began to enter Kabul, and an agreement was reached not to attack the capital

The Taliban began entering the Afghan capital, Kabul. The Afghan Interior Ministry has also confirmed that the Taliban are entering Kabul from all sides. According to foreign media, government offices in Kabul have been evacuated, while shops have been closed in some areas, while the Taliban have taken control of all major highways leading to Kabul.

According to sources, the Taliban say that the Mujahideen do not intend to enter Kabul through war or force and the Taliban are in talks with Afghan officials for a peaceful surrender of Kabul.

An agreement was reached not to attack Kabul

A statement issued by Afghanistan's acting interior minister, Abdul Sattar Mirzak Kawal, said an agreement had been reached not to attack Kabul.

Under the agreement, the transfer of power to the interim government will take place peacefully, the acting Afghan interior minister said.

On the other hand, Afghan media say that talks are underway in the Afghan presidential palace for the transfer of power to the Taliban, in which Abdullah Abdullah is playing the role of mediator.

Mullah Baradar also reached Kabul

Sources in the Afghan Interior Ministry said that Mullah Baradar, a key Taliban leader, had reached Kabul from Qatar.

Foreigners allowed to leave Afghanistan: Taliban

Taliban officials say Kabul has been besieged but Kabul airport is allowed to operate, foreigners can leave Afghanistan as they wish, while foreigners in Kabul will have to register their presence. In addition, members of the forces are also allowed to go home.

Kabul's largest prison is also under Taliban control

According to Afghan Interior Ministry sources, the Taliban have taken control of Kabul's largest Pul-e-Charkhi jail and are removing their comrades from the Pul-e-Charkhi jail.

Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a statement that the Taliban had seized the most important prison at Bagram Air Base before the Pul-e-Charkhi prison, and that all detainees at Bagram Air Base had been transferred to safety.

Smoke billowed from the US embassy

NATO officials say several members of the European Union's staff have moved to an undisclosed location in Kabul, while a US official says there are fewer than 50 US embassy staff in Kabul. Sources said that some helicopters were seen approaching the US embassy this morning, indicating that the US had withdrawn its diplomatic staff from there. Sources also said that sensitive documents of the US embassy have been burnt and smoke was seen coming out of the embassy.

The Taliban do not want to injure or kill lonely and innocent Afghans

"We have not declared a ceasefire, but we do not want to injure or kill any lonely and innocent Afghan citizen," the Taliban leaders told the foreign news agency, announcing no retaliation.

According to media reports, the Taliban are also announcing to give way to those leaving Kabul city and to evacuate women and children to a safe place. 

Taliban announces amnesty

On the other hand, Sohail Shaheen, spokesman for the Afghan Taliban's political office, announced a general amnesty in the country , saying that the doors of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan were open to all those who helped the attackers. Sohail Shaheen said that we have forgiven before and once again we invite everyone to come and serve the nation and the country.
