Israel-Palestine Conflict "Pay A Heavy Price" || More Than 2,251 Palestinians & 74 Israeli Deaths

Israel carried out a horrific bombardment on Gaza, demonstrating state terrorism, killing 30 more Palestinians, bringing the number of martyrs to 200.

The martyrs include 58 children and 34 women. Thousands were injured, including 366 children. According to Save the Children, an international children's welfare organization, three children are injured in Israeli bombings every hour in Gaza.

Israeli airstrikes on unarmed Palestinians in Gaza have entered their second week and the city is slowly turning into a pile of rubble. No one is safe from bombings and missile attacks.

Residential buildings have collapsed and thousands of people have been forced to take refuge in refugee camps where they are not safe because the Zionist state has also targeted these camps. On the other hand, Hamas fired rockets at Israel from Gaza, in which 10 people have been killed in Israel so far.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu must realize that we are ordinary citizens, not militants," said Mani Qazat, a Gaza resident.

"I feel like I'm dying."

The new airstrikes come a day after 42 Palestinians were killed.

At least eight children and two doctors were among the dead, according to the health ministry. A total of 197 people have been killed in Gaza, including at least 58 children.

More than 1,200 people have been killed since Israel launched an air strike against Hamas on May 10.

Ten people, including a child, have been killed in Israel, while 282 people have been injured in rocket attacks by militants in Gaza.

The Israeli military says about 3,000 missiles have been fired at Israel from Gaza since last Monday, but says its anti-missile Iron Dome has defused more than 1,000.

The Israeli prime minister said in a televised address on Sunday that "the campaign against the Israeli extremist organization is in full swing and will take time to end."

The Israeli military says it has targeted Hamas and Islamic Jihad infrastructure. The Israeli strikes also targeted the home of Yahya Sanwar, the head of Hamas' political bureau.

Violence between Hamas and Israel is the worst since 2014. The fighting killed 2,251 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and killed 74 people in Israel, most of them Israeli soldiers.

The United Nations has called for an immediate ceasefire in Palestine, but talks at the United Nations have been delayed by Israel's ally the United States.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned that if the fighting is not stopped immediately, it could have far-reaching consequences.

According to local media reports, the latest Israeli attacks targeted the main coastal road, security compounds and open spaces.

The electricity distribution company said Israeli airstrikes had damaged a power line from the Gaza power plant to large parts of southern Gaza City.

In a televised address on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli strikes were continuing "with full force" and would continue as long as needed.

He said Israel wanted to "pay a heavy price" for Hamas.

US concerned over 'violent attacks'

During a visit to Denmark, US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken called on Israel and the Palestinians not to target civilians during the conflict.

"The United States is deeply concerned about this escalating tension and the news of hundreds of deaths and injuries, as well as the rescue of children from the rubble," he said.

"We also have concerns about how journalists and medical staff are threatened in the meantime. Palestinians and Israelis have the right to live in safety like any other country.

He called on both sides to protect civilians, especially children, and stressed that "Israel has an additional responsibility because it is a democracy."

"We will use diplomatic means to try to defuse this tension," he told a news conference in Copenhagen.

"We are ready to help if both sides want a ceasefire."

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict enters its second week

Israel has again bombed Gaza today, resulting in an increase in the number of casualties.

Israeli airstrikes have so far killed 200 Palestinians, including 16 women and 10 children, and injured more than 1,200, while Hamas retaliatory rocket attacks have reportedly killed 10 Israelis.

Hamas fires rockets at Israel, injuring several

Danger sirens were sounded in various parts of southern Israel when the militant group Hamas said it was firing rockets at Israel.

According to Israeli officials, several people were injured in the rocket attacks when Hamas rockets landed in the city of Ashdod.

Hamas's armed wing said the rocket attack on Israel was in response to an Israeli airstrike on Monday morning.

According to Israeli media, sirens were heard in Beersheba, Ashdod and Ashkelon.

Israel-Palestine conflict: China criticizes US

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Sunday that he regretted that the United States was not allowing the United Nations to speak out against the violence.

"It's very unfortunate that the Security Council is unable to speak with one voice because of one country (the United States)," Wang Yi said at the UN virtual session. We urge the United States to live up to its responsibilities. "

China says the international community needs to do more to stop the bloodshed in Gaza.

In fact, Israel's largest ally, the United States, postponed a meeting last week on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and did not show any enthusiasm in making a statement.

The Biden administration, meanwhile, says it is working "behind the scenes" to stop the violence in Gaza and that it could have a negative impact on the issue being addressed through the Security Council platform.

US President Biden has even said that Israel has the right to defend itself in response to attacks by the militant group Hamas.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned that if the conflict does not end, the entire region will be plunged into an "uncontrollable crisis".

"Violence in Gaza is horrendous and this conflict must end immediately," the UN secretary-general said at the start of the meeting.

Israeli attacks on Palestine

It should be noted that since the beginning of Ramadan, a series of attacks and other acts of violence by the Israelis against the Palestinians had begun in occupied Jerusalem, while tensions in the most sacred city for the world's three major religions have risen.

Violence in Occupied Jerusalem since Friday (May 7th) is the worst since 2017, with long-running efforts by Jewish settlers to evict several Palestinian families from the area of   Sheikh Jarrah in East Jerusalem. Created

This is an area where several Palestinian families have been evicted in a long-running legal case, in which an appeal filed by Palestinians was due to be heard on Monday (May 10th) due to tensions by the Ministry of Justice. Postponed.

The recent attacks on Palestinians by Israeli forces have been going on since the night of May 7 , when Palestinians were worshiping at the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the last Friday of Ramadan, and 205 Palestinians were injured in the attack by Israeli forces.

The next day, May 8, worship was resumed at Al-Aqsa Mosque, but according to the Palestinian Red Crescent, Israeli forces carried out violent operations in the eastern part of Jerusalem, injuring 121 more Palestinians, most of them with rubber bullets. And grenades were hurled, while Israeli forces said 17 of their men were wounded.

Later, on May 9, hundreds of Palestinians were injured in another violent attack by Israeli forces near the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

On the morning of May 10, Israeli forces once again resorted to violence near Al-Aqsa Mosque, injuring 395 more Palestinians, more than 200 of whom were taken to hospital for treatment.

Hamas fired dozens of rockets into Israel, including a barrage, which turned off air strikes sirens far from Jerusalem, after an Israeli airstrike wounded 300 Palestinians.

Israel had justified rocket attacks on Gaza with fighter jets, killing 25 people, including a Hamas commander.

Later, on the night of May 11, the Israeli air force once again justified rocket attacks by bombing Gaza, bringing the death toll to 43, including 13 children. Five Israelis were killed and several others were injured.

Gaza's health ministry said on May 12 that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes had risen to 48, including 14 children, and that more than 300 had been injured.

On the other hand, 6 Israelis were also killed while about 1500 rockets were fired from Gaza and various places in Israel were targeted.

According to the United Nations Office for Human Rights, between May 7 and 10, 1,000 Palestinians were injured in violence by Israeli forces in East Jerusalem.

Following the Israeli crackdown on the Palestinians, the international community not only condemned the attacks but also called for restraint.

Al-Aqsa Mosque, considered the most sensitive in the Middle East, has been the subject of controversy since Israel occupied the eastern part of Jerusalem in 1967 and later made it part of Israel. They consider Jerusalem their capital and center of Jewish faith, but the Palestinians consider it the capital of their future state.

Israel-Gaza conflict: What are the strengths and weaknesses of Hamas weapons?

Although recent tensions between Israel and Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip have led to destruction and casualties on both sides, the two sides are not equal in this fight.

Israel is far more powerful. It has an air force, armed drones, intelligence gathering systems and can target the Gaza Strip at any time.

Israel claims to target only those sites that are used for military purposes, but it is almost impossible for civilians to be killed due to the dense population of the Palestinian territories.

Although Hamas and Islamic Jihad are weak parties to the conflict, they have the weapons to take action against Israel.

What is the Iron Dome and how does it work?

In recent tensions between Israel and the Palestinians, the Israeli military claims that Hamas has fired 1,500 rockets at Israel, but most of them have been destroyed by the Iron Dome in the air.

Israeli officials say their defense system, the Iron Dome, has a success rate of about 90 percent.

The Iron Dome is one of several multimillion-dollar anti-missile systems installed in Israel.
