Obama proposes his plan for comprehensive immigration reform


"Right now, there seems to be a genuine desire to remedy the problem . And that's very encouraging, "said Barack Obama, according to excerpts of the speech he will give in Las Vegas, Nevada (west), released by the White House. The president, who reiterated his desire for a comprehensive immigration reform that "finally take care of the eleven million undocumented immigrants" in the United States, hailed the agreement filed Monday by eight senators , four of his Democratic Party and four opposition Republican. The pact provides a way to give citizenship to illegal immigrants  -most of them American-after meet several requirements, strengthen border security with Mexico and ensure greater quota for skilled immigrants, among others. "His principles are quite consistent with the principles I have proposed and I've driven in recent years," according to excerpts provided. The good news is that for the first time in many years, Republicans and Democrats seem prepared to face this problem together , "he said.
