The tablet Aakash 2.0 has a 1GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, a 7 "screen and abattery of three hours duration. Its starting price is 1,130 rupees ( $ 20 ) for Indian students and $ 40 in the market, which is the same price as the first model, launched in late 2011 and was a bestseller. The device was introduced by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, in a ceremony held in New Delhi on the occasion of National Education Day. Nearly 220 million students receive the tablet in their schools over the next five or six years. The device was developed by British company Datawind , who chairs the Indo-Canadian Suneet Singh Tuli, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai.Authorities have offered over the last year training to a total of 15,000 teachers so they can use it in their classes.
