Blackout in India, 600 million in the dark


A power outage "unprecedented" left in the dark for more than half of India's population, 1.2 billion people, because of the almost simultaneous collapse of supply networks in 20 states of the north, east and north-east of the country. That is not the first of Tuesday: Monday also another blackout had left 300 million people without electricity in the north.
