War mania: US defence cost $698b a year

US troops have presence in more than 135 countries of the world, including Pakistan. Billions of dollars are being spent on this gigantic plan to monitor the entire world. According to the US Defence Department, the US army -- Infantry, Navy, Marine, Air Force and Coast Guard – have their presence in more than 135 countries of the world. According to the report, more than 85,000 troops were present in Iraq a few days ago while 137,000 in Afghanistan, 52,000 in Germany, 36,000 in Japan, 29,000 in South Korea, 10,000 in Italy while more than 9,000 in the UK. According to US Defence Department, Pakistan is a frontline state in the war on terror but here the US has deployed only 146 troops including 130 marine, 11 Air Force while six of them belong to infantry. The report said that the defence budget of the US makes 43% of the world worth nearly $ 698 billion. Due to war mania, the US economy has been badly affected by the internal and external loans. After blockade of NATO supply to Afghanistan from Pakistan, it is getting oil and other things on extremely high rates. It has been suspected that the US can take any step to restore its logistic support to NATO forces deployed in Afghanistan. US military bases in foreign countries are mainly located in Western Europe -- 26 of them are in Germany, 8 in Britain and as many in Italy. There are nine military installations in Japan.
