A New Era For Britain Has Begun After Separation From The European Union

At 11pm local time, Britain stopped following EU rules and was replaced by new rules on travel, trade, immigration and security co-operation.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that with the completion of Bridget's long journey, Britain had

got its hands on freedom and had the ability to do things "differently and better"

French President Emmanuel McChrystal said Britain was still a "friend and ally".

British ministers have warned that there will be some difficulties in the coming days and weeks as new rules come into force and British companies trading with other European countries will have to adapt to the changes.

People are worried that they may face difficulties at the border, but officials say the new border system is "ready for implementation."

The people of the United Kingdom voted in favor of secession from the European Union in the Bridget referendum in 2016, and on 31 January 2020, Britain seceded from the 27-member political and economic bloc.

But it has been abiding by EU trade rules for the past 11 months, during which the two sides have been negotiating a future economic partnership.

When the trade talks were over, a landmark agreement was reached at Christmas. It became law in Britain after approval by the British Parliament on Wednesday.

Under the new arrangements, British producers will have tax-free access to EU domestic markets.

This means that there will be no import tax on products from the UK to Europe.

But it does mean that people going to European countries and British companies will need more paperwork.

However, it is uncertain what the future holds for a large part of the British economy, the banking and services sector.

Prime Minister Johnson, who played a key role in the EU's secessionist campaign in 2016, said it was a "wonderful moment" for Britain.

He expelled Britain from the European Union in January, six months after becoming prime minister.

On New Year's Eve, the prime minister said Britain was now

free to do things differently than its friends in the EU, and even better if necessary

Our freedom is now in our hands, and it is up to us to make the most of it

Lord Frost, Britain's top negotiator, tweeted that Britain had "once again become a completely independent country".

But opponents of Briggs say the country will be worse off than it was in the European Union.

Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, who wants to bring independent Scotland back to the European Union, tweeted: "Scotland will be back soon."

The free movement of 500 million people between the 27 countries of the European Union and the United Kingdom will be banned once the Bridgett agreement is formally implemented from Friday.

For the first time in decades, border checkpoints will be reinstated. Despite the free trade agreement between the two sides, long queues at the border and the possibility of additional paperwork are being raised.

After the Second World War, the European Union was formed to unite the European countries. Britain has since become the first country to secede from the European Union.
