WORLDWIDE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC ||| 4 billion dollars needed to end epidemics | WHO is working with China

The death toll from the corona virus worldwide has risen to 267,771, with more than 3,870,958 infected

The United Nations said in a new appeal on Thursday that "4.7 billion is needed to save the lives of millions of people in poor countries and eradicate the virus"

Earlier, the United Nations called for 2 billion in global aid to fight the epidemic, according to AFP. Only 1 billion has been raised so far in response to the March 25 appeal.

The spread of the virus has been largely controlled in China and South Korea
According to AFP, "life in South Korea has returned to normal after the corona virus was largely controlled."
General Motors, the world's largest carmaker, has reported a sharp decline in profits. "The company has stated that it will open its plant in the United States on May 18," according to AFP. Kenya and Uganda are among the countries being helped by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to fight the virus.
China has said it is working with the World Health Organization (WHO) to reach the root cause of the corona virus. Mike Pompeo accused China of possessing samples of the virus that help make vaccines and called for transparency. Most experts believe the virus originated in the animal market and then spread to humans, but US President Donald Trump and Mike Pompeo have claimed that they have evidence that the virus was developed in Wuhan's laboratory. But they did not give details. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has accused the World Health Organization of slow response to the epidemic, saying there was still a need for an investigation in China. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chenying told reporters in Beijing on Thursday that the World Health Organization (WHO) supports efforts to find the epicenter of the epidemic.

The highest number of deaths from the corona virus so far has been in the United States at 75,558
