Impact of Anti-Malaria Drug on Corona, Results of 3 Research Reports

Somewhat Drugs is not yet available to treat the new Novel Corona virus, but US President Donald Trump has called chloroquine a drug used to treat Corona patients.

But it seems that these drugs are doing more harm than good for Corona virus infected patients, at least the results of trials in China, France and Brazil have been similar.

Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine helped to alleviate the symptoms of the coronar virus, but these drugs did not show improvement in other important areas, but the side effects were more dangerous.

During the research conducted in France, patients treated with hydroxychloroquine showed no reduction in mortality or ICU admission rates.

Similarly, in separate trials in China and Brazil, both drugs failed to help cure the Corona virus rapidly.

In fact, there were 2 fatalities in Brazil while some patients had heart problems, after which the trial was stopped after only 13 days and changed.

In this study, 37 patients were exposed to high levels of chloroquine, which resulted in two deaths in their heartbeat, while in 5 others the problem of cardiovascular disease called QT-controlled prolongation emerged, Which increases the risk of sudden death.

Researchers said in their results, preliminary evidence indicates that high drug intake cannot be suggested for the treatment of Corona virus infected patients, as it can be harmful.

Later, a further 40 patients, along with the remaining patients, were included in the study and the drug was used in small quantities, the results of which will be revealed in the next few days.

During the research conducted in France, hydroxychloroquine was used in 19 patients who were admitted to 4 hospitals in the second week of March.

Its effects on these individuals were compared with 84 patients who were immediately given the drug and 91 patients who were not given the drug.

The results showed that the use of this drug did not reduce the probability of death in Corona virus infected patients or admission to the ICU while it did not reduce the problem of breathing problems in the patients.

But its use certainly brought some dangers, 8 out of 84 people had a random heartbeat which prevented them from using the drug while one patient had a heart problem.

Researchers said that after negative results, we would emphasize the widespread use of this drug.

Research in China found that people who used hydroxychloroquine were no faster in improving their condition than in patients who were not given this medication.

Patients in both groups showed similar symptoms during the 28-day study, but patients who were given this medication 2 weeks after hospital admission showed some improvement over their condition.

They also have a reduced level of physical edema, which is a symptom of Corona virus infected patients which increases the risk of death.

In addition, 30% of patients using this drug reported a side effect while 9% of the other group did so, but none of the side effects were heart-related.

Chinese researchers say the evidence strengthens the idea that the drug can help reduce edema in patients who damage lungs and other organs.

While the results of these three research reports are not currently published in any medical journal, it is difficult to say conclusively, but there is currently no evidence that these two drugs may prove to be the best treatment for Corona virus infected patients.
