Iran enriches uranium to 4.5 percent

Iran, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) enriches uranium to 4.5 percent. According to the nuclear agreement, the country can only enrich uranium to 3.67 percent. So far, the IAEA had only communicated that Iran is above the 3.67 percent limit . Meanwhile, the crisis between the US and Iran is worsening: Iran threatened with the range of its missiles on Tuesday.

In addition, the IAEA announced Wednesday that Iran now has over 213.5 kilograms of enriched uranium. According Atomdeal but only 202.8 kilograms are allowed. On July 1, Iran had only over 205 kilograms of enriched uranium. These data were confirmed on Tuesday, said three diplomats.

Upper limit exceeded

Iran had last exceeded the amount of permitted uranium and the upper limit of its enrichment - both central requirements from the 2015 adopted in Vienna agreement. With this partial exit, Iran wants to urge the remaining partners of the agreement to respond to its wishes for economic cooperation. This goal is barely achievable by the US exit and drastic US sanctions against, among other things, Iran's oil export.

"US warships in range of Iranian missiles"

Meanwhile, the crisis between the US and Iran has reached new level of escalation : A commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards warned the United States, according to a news agency report that their military bases in the region and the US aircraft carrier in the Gulf in range of Iranian missiles. " if they make a mistake, our missiles will destroy their aircraft carriers" Hossein Nejat told Tasnim agency on Tuesday. "The Americans are well aware of the consequences of a military confrontation with Iran."

The conflict between the two countries escalated in recent weeks after the US tightened the tightening penalty. In return, Iran exceeded the limits permitted by the nuclear agreement when enriching uranium.
