Police have arrested a 47 year old man in northern India accused of closing the sale of his newborn grandchild for the social network Facebook. The baby was purchased by an employer for the amount of 45,000 rupees (640 euros). Feroz Khan, a resident of Ludhiana in the state of Punjab, is accused of kidnapping his own grandson shortly after his birth. Grandpa turned to two workers from the maternity hospital to contact the buyer with the social network and complete the sale. "All three have been arrested and we will interrogate the man who paid for the purchase of baby ", said an official of the Ludhiana police, Satish Malhotra. The police has recovered the small and it has now returned to his mother , a divorced woman who had filed a complaint against his own father. The three accomplices of the sale have been charged with kidnapping. If found guilty, will face a sentence of seven years in prison. In 2011, India's federal police reported that 815 gangs with more than 5,000 members, involved in the abduction of children in the country for use in prostitution and begging.
