Hitachi introduced a vehicle for elderly


The company  Hitachi  has unveiled a prototype electric vehicle aimed at the elderlyand people with mobility problems, after entering the coordinates, leads the occupant to your destination. The vehicle has been christened ROPITS , which stands for "Personal Robot for Intelligent Transportation System" (in Spanish, Robotic System Intelligent Personal Transportation) and can be programmed via a tablet  electronic packages containing specific maps. Through the tablet, the user can enter an address for the ROPITS transport it up there or, Hitachi says in a statement, " to come and get you ", as the four-wheeled carriage moves autonomously, once set coordinates. The vehicle is equipped with a 3D camera, gyroscopes and sensors to laser distance measure to avoid or stop automatically before pedestrians. To detect potholes or spaces used staggered three-dimensional geometric mapsproduced from electronic data from the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan and real-time data transmitted by GPS satellites.
