The social network Facebook held a press conference on March 7 at its headquarters in Menlo Park, California , the company said. The event will be the second presentation of high-profile products that Facebook made this year after the launch of its social search tool in January: Graph Search. The news service Facebook, which displays a stream that is constantly changing photos, videos and comments that rise to the network user's friends, is one of the three "pillars" of the service , along with profiles and user search, said CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The last major update to news of Facebook was in September 2011 . Since then, the company added advertising directly in the service and has shifted its focus to create"mobile first experiences" because a greater number of people now have access to the social network every day from mobile devices than from desktops. The mobile version of Facebook still lacks many features available to the computer version, said Brian Blau , an analyst at research firm Gartner. "So maybe this is a way to link some of them," he argued.
