Syria l Damascus attack, at least 53 dead

At least 53 deaths and 200 people were injured by a car bomb in Damascus today near the headquarters of the Baath Party. The Syrian state television reports. No victim is instead reported as a result of the fall of two mortar shells on the seat of the General Staff of the Army, near the Umayyad Square. The building was undergoing restoration after a previous attack took place in September last year.
