The Soviet satellite Kosmos-1484 which was launched in 1983 to explore the natural resources of our planet, the Earth will collide approximately January 29. Chances are it will be almost completely disintegrate upon contact with the Earth's atmosphere , as reported by Russian news agencies on Thursday, citing U.S. space sources. The Kosmos-1484, which is about six meters long , remains currently an orbit with an altitude of 208 km perigee and 356 km apogee . The satellite, which never got to fulfill their role because of a problem in the steering system, suffered an explosion ten years ago , so has lost some of its original structure . The Russian space agencies - Roscosmos - Europe - ESA - and American - NASA - are raised together in the fight against space junk , because it threatens the operation of the International Space Station.
