"I did not react as president, but as a father." That opened the press conference U.S. President Barack Obama, following the killing of Connecticut elementary school,which claimed the lives of 27 people , including 18 children. Shocked, Obama spoke of earlier episodes and said: " We've been through too many tragedies like this in recent years ." Then the U.S. president called on Americans to join , regardless of political differences. "Our hearts are torn . Most of the dead were children between 5 and 10 years . had a past life: birthdays, graduations, weddings ."
Referring then to the survivors , Obama assured his full support in the difficult times that are atraviesando, and later said: "We have to take significant action to prevent this from happening again ." Wiping tears from his eyes, the chairman closed the conference: " Today at the night Michelle and I will do the same thing all parents hug their children, even if they have parents who can not do ".
