Mexicans are preparing for arrival of Hurricane Ernesto 'tonight


The hurricane "Ernesto" prepares to land tonight in the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, and preparations for protecting people and property should be ready as soon as possible, forecasters warned U.S. "Ernesto", the second hurricane of the season of cyclones in the Atlantic, maintaining sustained winds of 130 kph and is forecast to your eye will cross the east coast of Yucatan during tonight and then emerge in the Bay of Campeche, in Mexico. "Additional strengthening is forecast before it reaches the Yucatan peninsula and weaken as it moves over land," said National Hurricane Center (NHC) of the U.S., in its bulletin at 21.00 GMT. The NHC, based in Miami, said that "Ernesto" is a category 1 hurricane, the minimum intensity scale Saffir-Simson of a maximum of 5. The cyclone has increased its speed to the west-northwest at 24 mph and is accompanied by torrential rains that can cause dangerous flash floods and landslides. Forecasters warned that weather conditions begin to deteriorate on the east coast of Yucatan and in some areas of the Gulf of Mexico. So far the hurricane season in the Atlantic basin have formed six tropical storms and two hurricanes, "Chris" and "Ernesto".
