Chinese protest Japan islands dispute

Miles of Chinese took to the streets to protest on Sunday to protest against Japanese nationalists who landed on the Senkaku / Diaoyu, which are in dispute between the two countries. several cities in China there were protests, in which Japanese protesters overturned cars and shouted slogans against the Japanese claim over a group of islands in the East China Sea. In Shenzhen, one of the towns where demonstrations took place, several people were arrested. said China lodged an official protest against Japan. "The illegal behavior of Japanese rightists has violated China's territorial sovereignty," he said in a statement the Chinese Foreign Ministry. however, the tension began last week, when seven members of a group of 14 Chinese activists prevented Japanese coast guard, landed on the uninhabited islands and hoisted a Chinese flag. Japan, trying to avoid a repeat of the confrontation that froze economic and diplomatic relations in 2010, activists deported a few days later and Beijing kept a low profile about it. But in the early hours of Sunday, ten members of a group of more than 100 Japanese nationalists archipelago sailed, swam to one of the islets and waved Japanese flags, prompting protests in China. Tokyo and Beijing have clashed for decades because of the group of islands known as Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu in China. The archipelago is near an area potentially rich in gas reserves.nationwide protests reflect resentment among many Chinese by Japanese occupation during World War II.Some of the demonstrators called the Communist Party in Beijing to do more against Tokyo.
