It’s a real story from a country where humanity seems to be dying. I heard about child sex workers in Karachi and it was unbelievable for me. So, I decided to search for it and I found a child whose story made my cry. He said when he was just 11, his father passed away and his mom got married to another man. He added that his step father was not a good man as he always keeps beating and punishing him without any reason. One day, he left his home and went to another city. He was so hungry but he had no money to buy some edibles in order to remove his hunger. he told that he went to a hotel and said to the owner that he knew none in that city and asked for some food and instead, he would work for him. The owner gave him some food and asked where he was living. As the child had no home, he was staying in a park. the owner said that he could live with him. the child was happy to listen to it and slept there as he was tired a lot. the child told that one day, the owner of the hotel introduced him with one of his friends, UMER , and said that he had to live with his friend. the child agreed and went with him at his home where already 16 children of the same ages were staying. the child said that he was happy to find some friends because his time could pass better now. after a short while, Umar entered the room put a towel on my face and assaulted him sexually. although the child was shouting and crying bitterly to leave him but the man did not stop. Umar told the child that he had bought him from the owner of the hotel and now he was his property. Umar used to beat him whereas he made friendship with the other children. They told him to do exactly what Umar said to you if he wanted to restrain from any punishment. Four days passed there and then, the man again entered the room. Although he was so mean and merciless, old man, he again assaulted him sexually. the child said he accepted the overall condition now because he had been assaulted several times and he had been habitual of this life. After 2 months, umar gave him a cell phone, saying that he should keep in touch stay in touch with all of his costumers. he told he was just 13 when he joined this profession and now his age was 16 and everyone even policemen kept assaulting him sexually in these three years . the child advised other children in crying voice that they should always love their parents and should not run from home because none was anyone’s friends except parents who care their children. It’s a voice of one innocent flower of our society who was forcibly pushed towards a sinful life but a lot of homeless children can be found in our society who are involved in the same illegal activities. There is no mandated system for reporting child sexual exploitation, abuse and neglect, leading to a paucity of reliable statistics and published data on the prevalence of child sexual exploitation, abuse and neglect. The media sometimes but infrequently highlight specific cases of a heinous nature – particularly if a child is sexually abused and then murdered – but such reporting can lead to the dangerous assumption that child sexual exploitation and abuse are rare. This should be stopped as soon as possible. Children are like flowers and they should not be damaged, they should be flourished instead as the future of Pakistan lies in their hands.
