Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W.W) being celebrated today

Pakistan, ISLAMABAD Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W.W) would be observed around the country including Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) with religious fervour today (Tuesday) while the day has been declared as a public holiday. Different local, religious and social organizations have organized different programmes to celebrate this event. On this occasion Naat and Quran reciting competitions will also take place, different rallies and gathering will also appear in different parts of the country. The Ministry of Religious Affairs organized a one-day National Seerat Conference on the auspicious event in the Federal Capital, which would be chaired by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani. Prominent Ulema and scholars from across the country would attend the conference and also present their articles and thoughts on the Seerat of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W). Special Seerat Banners and illuminations on public buildings throughout the country would be arranged.  Security would remain on high alert with enhanced police patrolling as well as elaborate security measures at all sensitive places to avoid any untoward incident on the Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W.W).
