Microsoft says goodbye forever Hotmail


Through its official blog Microsoft reported that after three months of work , finally completed the transition of its email service Hotmail to Outlook and achieved 400 million active accounts in the new platform. The company founded by Bill Gates noted that one of the cornerstones of the update was to ensure that every customer has the best experience and for that took into account the comments and advice received during that period. Dick Craddock, director of the company, said his goal was to create the best email service in the world, able to scale to more than one million active customers. "We are pleased to announce that we have completed the upgrade to all customers Hotmail, this has led to more than 400 million active accounts Outlook "he said. Craddock stated that in February and had over 60 million active accounts, but Hotmail was still one of the most used services, with over 300 million accounts. The manager stated that the transition was an unprecedented process as improving all mailboxes amounted to 150 million gigabytes of data.
