The end of an era Microsoft says goodbye to its successful Windows Messenger. This April 8 was the date chosen by Microsoft to Messenger and Skype merge. The change will take place in the world, except in China that is still available.
"Goodbyes are never easy and Messenger was a great companion of us all these years, but it's time to make way for Skype and its various features that allow us to communicate with our friends and family," said Microsoft.
Users must first upgrade to the latest version of Skype for that, automatically, showing your Messenger contact list.
The company explained in a guide the p asos continue to migrate to Skype Messenger.
If this is your first time using Skype:
Get the latest version of Skype
Sign in with your Skype account Microsoft (your Messenger ID)
Messenger contacts will be added to Skype.
If you already have Skype account:
Upgrade to the latest version of Skype.
Login to your account Microsoft. (Your Messenger ID)
Merge your Skype account with your Microsoft account.
In Skype can access both Messenger contacts and those of Skype.
