American Airlines is the largest airline in the world

The resulting group becomes the world's largest airline and also the largest in the United States, ahead of Delta, which merged with Western in 2008, and United Continental which gave the same pace in 2011. With an official request and finalized to buy more than 600 new aircraft, the combined airline will have a solid foundation for continued investment in technology, products and services. AMR Corp. the parent of American Airlines, filed for Chapter 11 of the Law onBankruptcy U.S. in November 2011, and the merger was approved Wednesday by thebankruptcy court in New York under Judge Sean Lane . The merged company, which will be called American Airlines, will be a 2% larger than the current number one, United Continental Holdings, in terms of traffic, as the number of passenger miles worldwide. The new American will offer more than 6,700 daily flights to 336 destinations in 56 countries. And it is expected that the combined company will maintain all hubs currently offered by American Airlines and U.S. Airways, which will result in more travel options for customers. An American-US Airways would have combined revenues of U.S. $ 39,000 million, according to figures available for 2012. Something to overtake United Continental, which had sales of about 37,000 million. The market capitalization of the new group will exceed U.S. $ 10,000 million, and its value will be close to 11,000 million dollars .
