U.S. faces the worst snowstorm of the last century

Schools across New York New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island announced that they would close or send students home in the early afternoon. On Long Island, the electric company, heavily criticized for its response to Hurricane Sandy - promised to customers who have a contingency plan. The city of Boston , where the snow started falling around 9:30 local time, announced that it would close all schools on Friday and that mass transit would be suspended from 15:30 local time. The mayor of  Boston, the state's largest city located in the northeastern corner of the country , decided the closure of schools and asked the traders not to open their doors, so no one is forced to leave home"I want to remind everyone that you need to use common sense and stay away from the streets of our city. Stay at home , "urged Thomas Menino  in his last message to the citizens. For two years that the city faces a snowstorm . But it will be more intense than those of the living memory. Besides the large accumulation of snow will occur between Friday and Saturday are forecasted winds could reach 120 mphAirlines have canceled 3775  flights  that were scheduled for Friday in Boston, Chicago and New York, where it will go after the weather phenomenon whipping the New England region. So no more suspensions are discarded if more states are affected. But the forecast that as you progress, the storm will lose strength . In New York, where they are expected to fall more than 15 centimeters of snow , Mayor Michael Bloomberg expected the forecasts were exaggerated, although the city would be ready to act. One of the biggest fears is that affecting the energy supply in the affected areas, as happened with the Sandy fierce hurricane that struck New York in late 2012. Though this time would be even worse if something like this happens, because the case of a snowstorm, lost electricity, people should face extreme temperatures without heatingAs usual before similar threats, many shops were empty, because the people took massively to buy groceries for the weekend.
