Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has expressed his willingness to be the first Iranian in space, after the country has successfully managed to send a monkey beyond the atmosphere and come back alive. "I'm willing to be the first human to be launched into space by the Iranian scientists , "Ahmadinejad said during a visit to an exhibition on Iranian space projects, as recorded by the Iranian news agency Mehr. "Send beings living in space is the result of Iranian efforts and dedication of thousands of Iranians professional scientists," he added. Ahmadinejad highlighted the achievements of the space program and has accused the "evil enemy" his "concern" about Iranian progress in this and other areas of science, which "leaves no room for predatory tactics to plunder Iranian resources".
