New earthquake causes more destruction in northern Italy

The strong earthquake that struck on Tuesday a vast region of northern Italy has at least 17 dead and more than two hundred wounded, and caused thousands still homeless. The quake reached a magnitude 5.8 and occurred in the same region where there are only nine days, another earthquake of magnitude 6.0 had killed seven people. For the thousands of Italians from the first shock was to live in tents and cars this was a repeat of the nightmare. It was nine in the morning in Italy (7:03 GMT) when the earthquake began to be felt. At the first signs, panic settled among the local inhabitants who have fled their homes to the street. In places with Mirandola, Finale Emilia, San Felice and Cavezzo, many buildings had been damaged in the earthquake of May 20, eventually collapsing completely. The rescue teams are still seeking possible victims buried in the rubble. factories, warehouses, churches and many historic buildings collapsed in what is one of the most productive areas in Italy in terms of industry and agriculture.
