Egypt Bites cancels decree of powers

A surprise seems to have unlocked the impasse that pitted by day Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi to his political opponents, creating a new climate of civil war in Egypt. Perhaps for fear of a military coup, Morsi announced the lifting of the decree which expanded its powers. And without changing the date of the referendum on the constitution held on December 15, the President invited the opposition to suggest changes to the draft constitution.
