  1. With the passing away of Yash Chopra, Indian Cinema has lost a giant. He was one of the great directors who were a bridge between the old and the present generation as far as thoughts are concerned. If Dhool ka Phool, Waqt, Ittefaq, Deewar, Trishul and Kabhi Kabhi were appreciate by the old, then films like Veer Zaara was appreciated by the present generation. He also had a good music sense. He made films on various issues and was quite successful. His success can be judged by the fact that after Bimal Roy who won seven as best director, he won the maximum four Filmfare Awards as best director. He will be always remembered for nurturing new talents under his watchful eyes like Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra to name a few. With the passing away of Chopra, a void has been created which cannot be filled so easily.
