Boy Scouts covered up to 1,200 U.S. pedophile

The complainants said they Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has not done enough to get rid of the abusers who use the organization of young explorers to stalk children. The files had been used as evidence in a court case in 2010, but BSA had managed to keep them out of public view until Thursday. Papers, among which include handwritten notes and exchanges between executives of the organization, show details of alleged sexual abuse between 1965 and 1985 by more than 1,200 leaders and other adults who were part of the Boy Scouts. The record was kept as a sort of " black list "of undesirable persons, but the cases were not reported to the courts to protect the prestige of the centenarian group. In response to the publication of the files, the head of the organization apologized to the victims and admitted that the BSA action against pedophilia had been "inadequate, inappropriate or wrong." On average, every pedophile molested 5-25 scouts , so the number of victims is much higher than victimizers. "We know there are thousands, but most will never know," said attorney Paul Mones in a press conference.  The leader of Boy Scouts of America , Wayne Perry reiterated his empathy for the victims to be made public files. "We extend our most profound and honest apology to the victims and their families, "he said. "What we want is for organizations to understand how they work and how they get pedophiles infiltrating youth organizations," said Mones. The documents, which the organization calls " disqualified file volunteers from the Boy Scouts , "are classified as" perversion files "by the lawyers and the press. While Thursday's papers were published two decades of abuse reported, the lawyers said BSA began keeping this file since the 1920s.
