Suspected terrorists killed in two attacks in Yemen

The police chief of Shabwa Maqdishi Ahmed, who cites the Ministry, said that one of the offensive was launched against a building that housed a large number of militants of Al Qaeda. The other bombing targeted a checkpoint at a crossroads on the outskirts of the city of Azan, which included several suspected terrorists. In addition, an unspecified number of al Qaeda members were injured during operations, said the Maqdishi, which did not specify whether the planes carried out the attacks were Yemenis and Americans, and whether they were "drones," unmanned drones. The Maqdishi not rule out the possibility that the victims in the terrorist ranks yesterday were fighters who fled the cities of Zinyibar and Yaar, the neighboring province of Abian and whose control the Yemeni army recovered yesterday as part of the broad offensive that develops from 12 May. In the past year, the terrorist group has increased its activity in Yemen under the unstable situation in the country since the outbreak in January 2011 popular revolt against President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who finally abandoned in February the power.
